The recently refurbished Westpac Bank at Kings Cross, Sydney, incorporates design features which offer employees maximum protection and security. Information and reception staff are protected by the Sealeck 501 Attack Resistant security Counter which incorporates voice transfer and basic transaction tray. The Service tellers are protected by the more elaborate Sealeck R1/S1 Bullet Resistant security Counters built to AS 2343 and feature 41mm glass and 3mm polished stainless steel preformed security counter and window assemblies with non electronic voice transfer. The enclosed sliding ‘Type B’ tray enables secure note and passbook transactions as well as transactions of larger items such as money bags. The security counters feature timber joinery and allow tellers to sit whilst customers stand to conduct their business. The addition of a stepped down counter enables easy access for wheelchairs, whilst maintaining highest security.
